Brief

The art gallery of Western Australia will be the host of: The Princely Treasures: European Masterpieces 1600-1800 from the Victoria and Albert Museum. As the exclusive Australian venue, the Art Gallery of WA would provide residents and visitors with a unique opportunity to experience stunning historic treasures that rarely leave Europe


Aim:

To design an interactive play area for children to educate them with regard to the exhibition whilst keeping them entertained


Target Market:

directed at 3-13 year olds and their parents who visit the gallery


Objectives:

Keep in the style period of 1600-1800, mostly baroque

Be interactive and facilitate learning

Provide a valuable and positive opportunity for parents to educate and bond with their children

Include several activities targeted across different age groups

Make the display modular so it can be easily transported, deconstructed and reused

Give visitors a positive impression of their experience at the gallery

Provide a safe environment for children to play


Cost:

The budget for the project is approximately $3,000


Timeline:

Part A - 23rd March

Part B - 20th April

Part C - 5th May

Exhibition - 21st September
